Blakell Europlacer Ltd announce a new addition to their range of distribution products - Aleader Automatic Optical Inspection.
The Aleader AOI range includes both offline and online systems both of which utilise 3D Topography and face recognition algorithms, resulting in a system which is easy to program, give an extremely low false call rate (typically less than 4 false calls per 1000 devices tested) and is competitively priced.
Blakell Europlacer’s UK General Sales Manager Andy Jones explains why he felt that Aleader was the right system to add to their other SMT assembly equipment portfolio “We have been selling AOI systems for a period of time, and have been very successful. However it has become clear that due to the nature of the UK market, many manufacturers are looking for a system which can be adapted quickly to reflect the changing nature of their business”
Aleader Europe are the European distributor for the AOI systems and where they have established distribution networks within global territories, sales of Aleader AOI systems have flourished. Aleader have installed over 30 systems in the Israeli market already.
“Before deciding to distribute Aleader in the UK market, I took a trip to Israel, where Aleader Europe are based; I visited a number of CEM manufacturers and asked some key questions
1. Was the system easy to learn and quick to program in production?
2. Is the false call rate low?
3. Are difficult to find faults (such as lifted lead) easy to find?
4. Has the system prevented faults from leaving the factory?
The answers to these questions from all of the users was pleasingly positive.
I was particularly struck by the fact that in all cases there was not ‘AOI engineer’ assigned to handle the machine, it was in all cases one of the production operatives running the general assembly equipment that programmed the machines” continued Andy Jones.
The Aleader ALD510 was released into the UK market during the recent NEW exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.
